LEINTHALL STARKES
SPRING / MAY DAY LITTER-PICK
Residents are invited to join us for a sociable village litter-pick on Sunday 1st May, to clean-up the road-side verges around Leinthall Starkes. If you are interested, then please do join us.
We will meet at Bridge House from 09.45 to 10.00 to pick-up equipment, receive a volunteer brief and complete indemnity forms, and then litter-pick from 10.00 to 12.30.
Depending upon numbers, we will split into separate groups to litter-pick the roadside verges along the following routes:
• C1019 – Allcock’s Brook (parish boundary) to village sign (Novel Lane junction)
• C1019 – Village sign (Novel Lane jn) to Marlbrook Lane
• C1019 – Marlbrook Lane to Westfield Farm (parish boundary)
• Novel Lane to Forestry Commission lay-by
• Marlbrook Lane to parish boundary
As it is essential that we are seen and stay safe during the litter-pick, residents will need to wear hi-viz vests. This and other equipment (litter-pick sticks, waste bags) are being provided by Wigmore Group Parish Council (WGPC) and will handed-out at the start.
Residents are also invited to bring along their own vests and equipment to ensure there is sufficient and will also be requested to complete a volunteering indemnity waiver form at Bridge House before commencing the litter-pick.
Please also be mindful of the weather (hot or wet), carrying water, wearing hats, sunscreen and waterproofs, as appropriate.
